A week from today we are so excited to welcome all of our students back to our buildings for the 24-25 school year.
Make sure before Wednesday, August 7:

For new parents/students:
Visit your child's school to begin registering for the next school year. If you are unaware of your child's school location, look it up using the link below.

Wow! What a great year. Thank you for sharing your children with us another year and helping WLES to be such a special school. We value your support. We are so excited for our 5th graders moving on to BMS. They will do great things!! Have a great summer break and we look forward to seeing our students in August.
It has been an incredible week at WLES! Our students worked very hard on the KSA test and lived up to our motto of Doing our Best, Strive for Success!! Also, HUGE shout out to the PTO and community for your support of the WLES staff. We feel much appreciated by your efforts and we value your support. Please check out the calendar for special events next week. If any changes happen, due to weather, we will communicate those changes with you through Talking Points. Have a great weekend.
Our 4th grade students rocked the KSA test this week and our 3rd and 5th grade students are ready to test next week. Please note the calendar for several upcoming events including Field Day, Park Day, Movie Day and Promotion ceremonies for Preschool and 5th graders.

The end of the school year is quickly approaching and we have a lot of exciting events coming up. Be sure to check the calendar section of the newsletter to be sure you know what is coming up. This upcoming week we will start our KSA testing with our 4th grade students taking reading and math. Also, we have our Outdoor Movie Night scheduled for Friday and our Cheer Clinic will be on Wednesday and Thursday. Please note the KSA schedule so you know when your child will be testing. We ask that if at all possible the students are at school during the tests.

Tryouts for the 2024-2025 WLES Tiger Cheer Squad will be held May 1-2 from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. in the WLES gym. Returning WLES students in grades 2-5 are invited to stay for tryouts with a returned signed permission form.
The deadline for returned permission slips to ensure a slot for tryouts is MONDAY 4/29.

STATE TESTING--the schedule is in the newsletter. Please make plans to have your student at school every day and avoid scheduling appointments during the testing window. Thanks for all you do!
Wow!! Our younger Tigers did a fantastic job tonight performing for their guests. Thanks to everyone that helped in any way make this possible!

Our WFC chocolate sales limo winners had a BLAST today. They were able to ride the limo to Diamond Lakes and back to school. While at Diamond Lakes they feed the birds and fish while others were able to play a few holes of putt-putt golf. Special thanks to our friends at Diamond Lake for hosting us and to our WLES PTO for seeing that these top sellers had a great reward. Another thanks to our parent volunteers for helping to supervise the students along with our staff. We appreciate you!!
