It’s going to be another great week in the Foxes Den!  We are getting prepared and excited about KSA testing which opens this week.  Our special testers begin tomorrow and the whole school will begin on Monday, May 6.  It’s really important that students get good sleep before their testing days.  Make sure your student gets a healthy breakfast. Make sure your student gets to school every day of testing and arrives On TIME!  We don’t want your student to get behind in the testing cycle! All students will receive a free breakfast on May 6 and May 7 to start off our testing week.  We expect all of our Foxes to put in a good-faith effort every day by taking their time, working hard,  checking their answers, and being kind, responsible, and respectful!

We have made great progress as a school this year and KSA (Kentucky State Assessment) is an excellent opportunity for our Foxes to take pride in themselves and their school, and to demonstrate to themselves, their families, and our community the creative, talented, and intelligent students we have here at Burns Middle School! Excellence is worth the effort!  We have many other important dates coming up that you don’t want to miss.

On Wednesday we are celebrating our Academic Team’s trip to the International competition by raising money for their trip.  Students can wear a hat by donating $1 to the Academic Team!

*On Thursday of this week we will host our Outstanding Fox ceremony at 10:30 am.

The choir concert is also this Thursday at 6:00 pm.  Come out and support all their hard work this year!

*We kick off the official testing season on Friday at 2:00 with our KSA pep rally.

*All Library Books are due by May 10th!

*Our Spring Dance is May 10 from 7-9.  Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, May 1st.

Have a great week!
