It’s been another exciting week in the Foxes Den! It’s hard to believe we are nearing the end of April and May is quickly approaching. We hosted our first tack meet and many of our students are also competing in baseball, softball, and tennis at AHS. This week we will host a parent registration night on Thursday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm where parents and guardians are invited to come and register their students for the 2024-2025 school year.
The World’s Finest Chocolate fundraiser is still ongoing. The money from the sales is due on Friday, April 26. Thank you to all who are participating and supporting our school!
Many of your students have recently taken a MAP test. We are so excited and so proud of the incredible progress our students have made. Talk to your student and ask them about their progress.
Burns Middle School will be Testing May 6-10 for all students. Please avoid scheduling doctor appointments, dentist appointments, trips, or anything else that may keep your students out of school on those days. We are so proud of the progress our school has made in KSA testing this past year and we can’t wait for our students to demonstrate to all of Kentucky the tremendous progress they have made this year! Please also make sure your student gets a good night’s sleep the night before and a good breakfast to start the day. If your student has special testing accommodations, they may be testing earlier. Talk to your students about the importance of trying thier best on these days.
On May 29th from 9am-12pm Owensboro Health will be offering FREE sports physicals. If you think your student may participate in a sport next year, mark your calendars to take advantage of this great opportunity!
Spring is here and students are busy enjoying the outdoors, but don’t forget to remind them about the importance of finishing the school year strong! Attendance matters! Teachers are still teaching our students until the last day. Check the Infinite Campus Parent Portal for updates on your student's grades and progress. We are grateful for your partnership in helping all our students succeed!
Have a great week!
