Parents and Guardians,
The Foxes’ Den is buzzing with holiday expectations as we begin the last week of the fall semester. What a great semester it has been! There is never a dull moment at BMS! This week we enjoyed several competitive basketball games, students took MAP tests to gauge their mid-year progress, and Mr. Tinsley and Mrs. Murphy taught our physical education students archery skills. Friday night Ms. Lynch and Ms. Yonts led our choir and band students in a fantastic holiday celebration to a gym full of families followed by cookies, hot chocolate, and holiday pictures!
While the holiday break begins in a week, this week is crucial for our students as they close out their fall semester classes. Now is a great time to check the Infinite Campus Parent Portal to see your student’s progress. ESS (Extended School Services) are available Monday through Thursday each afternoon from 3:30 pm-to 5:00 pm or in the mornings before school at 7:30 am. We have had a large number of absences due to sickness, so be sure to check with your students or your student’s teachers to ensure they are caught up on missing assignments before we leave for break.
The Seventh and Eighth-grade finals schedule is as follows (sixth-grade finals are up to the discretion of the teacher):
December 13th Final Exam during odd periods
December 14th Final Exam during even periods
Be sure you mark your calendar for January 3, 2024, as the day students return to school from break.
The 12 days of Christmas dress continues this week
December 11–Merry and Bright (Sparkles or Neon)
December 12-Elf or Grinch
December 13-Ugly Christmas Sweater
December 14-Winter Wonderland (Blue or White)
December 15–Christmas Character from a movie or book
Have a great week!
