It’s been a fantastic Spirit Week in the Foxes Den.  The student participation has been excellent and the pep rally on Thursday was such a great end to our week with great games, good laughs, and incredible spirit.  And it certainly was the inspiration for our Volleyball, Football, and Cross Country teams who all had big wins on Thursday.

We are excited to announce that our Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) individual scores (formerly known as KPREP) are here! We will be getting those to you right after we return from Fall Break.  If you want to see them sooner, you can view your students’ results by logging into IC and looking under the “assessment” tab. We will not have our school-wide results back until mid-October and we will communicate those to you once we have them.

On October 4th FEMA and the FCC will test the national emergency alert system.  This will send an emergency alert, just a test, to all cell phones at 1:20 p.m. Owensboro time.  e will remind teachers and students of this so that everyone won’t panic when 800

cell phones get an emergency alert at the same time!  If you would like to read more about this, please see this link: https://www.fema.gov/press-release/20230803/fema-and-fcc-plan-nationwide-emergency-alert-test-oct-4-2023

Lastly, we are rejuvenating our National Junior Honor Society program.  Students who qualify for this honor (based on grade point average) will get an invitation this week.

It’s the last week before fall break.  Attendance matters!  Let’s finish strong as we strive to be kind, responsible, and respectful! Have a great weekend!
