What a great week it’s been in the Den!  We kicked off the Labor Day Weekend with the Color Bash dance where our students had a blast singing and dancing in the rainbows of color.  We adults all commented on how Kind, Responsible, and Respectful our students were during this event!  We’ve begun MAP testing in Math and Reading and are so excited to see how well our students are performing.  We take the time in our Den Time class to look at these scores and set progress goals for the year.  We’ve also begun our weekly Social Emotional Learning lessons with our new curriculum Character Strong, where we focus on our core principles of being King Responsible, and Respectful.

Our Book Fair Boxes are here and the anticipation of this event and Monday night’s Family Parent Conversations and Conferences is growing!  We can’t wait to share with you what our students are already learning.  This week marks the halfway point for the first nine weeks of school, so this is a great time to check in with your student’s teachers.  You can check your student's progress in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal: https://daviessky.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/daviess.jsp

If you haven’t made it to a volleyball game, a football game, a soccer game,  or a cross-country meet, I encourage you to come see our students doing the things they love.  Our teams are enjoying great success this season. Have a great weekend!  Go Foxes!

Sincerely,

Kendra Bronsink
