It’s September! Our teams are winning, our students are learning, and the temperature is dropping. September is high attendance month. Hopefully, the major waves of sickness are behind us and we can be a strong competitor in the district’s attendance challenge. The middle school with the highest attendance percentage on high attendance day–September 13– will be entered into a drawing for Apple Airpods 3rd generation from the students present for the entire day. There will be an additional drawing for the middle school with the most students who had perfect attendance (full days) for the entire month of September.
This year we have been awarded an exciting grant along with Burns Elementary in the Community Schools grant. This grant will allow us to provide opportunities to continue to serve our families and students above and beyond. We are excited about the possibilities. Please take the time to complete the parent survey so we can determine the most essential needs of our Burns Middle School community. It is linked on our website and will also be sent out via Talking Points.
September 11th we will be hosting our Family Conference and Conversation night from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. This is also the first day of our Book Fair. This is a great opportunity to drop in and talk to teachers about your student's progress, buy new books, and share dinner with your fellow Fox families.
September 28th we will be hosting a Pink Out night at the home football game versus Daviess County. Students have forms they should have brought home if they would like to order a Pink Out shirt. September is a busy, but exciting time to get connected to the Foxes Den! Have a fantastic long weekend!
