Permit Test Information

On Tuesday, March 25, 2025 House Bill 15 was passed that will allow persons who are at least 15 years of age to apply for a motor vehicle instruction permit; establish that an instruction permit is valid for four years.

You can read more information about that online.

What does that mean for students? Any student who has received a school verification form from school before March 25, 2025 MUST get a new form. Students need to report to the Attendance Office to receive that new form.

IF students have not received a form, they will need to go to the Attendance Office to see if they qualify. Students who are meeting school requirements with grades and attendance will be given a new form which will be brought home for parents/guardians/caregivers to fill out and sign. That paper will then be taken with the student to their test appointment.

Students who are not passing classes or who are attendance compliant will not be able to get their permit until the end of the next semester. For example.... a student who is not compliant as of May 20, 2025, will not be able to get their permit until January 2026 providing they pass their Fall Semester classes and improved attendance.

If a student currently has their permit or drivers license and they fail or do not meet attendance requirements, they will receive a letter this summer revoking their driving priviledges.

Apollo High School and the Offices will be CLOSED during Spring Break. We will return on April 7th. If your student has an appointment during this time, they need to get the form by end of the day March 27, 2025.
