DAVIESS COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS TIED FOR STATE LEAD IN STLP GOLD STATUS

Owensboro, KY– – Daviess County Public Schools is proud to announce that it has earned the distinction of having the highest number of Gold Status schools in the state, tied with Jefferson County, as recognized by the Kentucky Department of Education's STLP program. This achievement underscores the district's unwavering commitment to providing students with exceptional learning opportunities that foster creativity, innovation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
"We are incredibly proud of our schools for achieving this remarkable milestone," said Aaron Yeiser, Instructional Technology Coordinator of Daviess County Public Schools. "This accomplishment is a testament To the dedication and hard work of our students, teachers, and administrators who consistently strive together for kids toward excellence. It also highlights the power of project-based learning and the transformative impact it can have on student engagement and achievement."
The Gold Status designation is awarded to schools that demonstrate a sustained commitment to implementing the Student Technology Leadership Program, which empowers students to become leaders in their schools and communities through technology. Gold Status schools provide students with a wide range of opportunities to explore their passions, develop critical thinking skills, and collaborate with their peers to solve real-world problems.
Daviess County Public Schools' Gold Status schools are Audubon Elementary School, Burns Elementary School, Burns Middle School, and Apollo High School.
